The Apple iPhone 13 upcoming series is rumored that it may include a reverse wireless charging feature. The capability of reverse wireless charging will enable users to charge their AirPods by using their iPhones. Since 2017, smartphones produced by Apple have supported wireless charging. At that time, iPhone X and iPhone 8 models were introduced. After that, all of the iPhones from Apple have supported wireless charging features.
While it is rumored that the new MagSafe technology of Apple on the iPhone 12 series was able to do reverse charging, it appears that people will finally see the arrival of the reverse charging capability on the upcoming iPhone 13 models. The feature reverse charging will allow the smartphones to charge several other devices in turn, such as wireless earbuds.
Speculations on Reverse Wireless Charging
Android Smartphones manufacturers like Samsung already support the reverse charging feature on their smartphones, but Apple will soon introduce this feature in its next generation of iPhones, as per a new video from Max Weinbach and EverythingApplePro. The new feature could also make utilization of the MagSafe wireless charging coil included on the iPhone 12 series of Apple.
According to Weinbach, it seems like the upcoming series of iPhone 13 could come with a big wireless charging coil that will allow faster charging. The larger coil can be replaced in a similar way the MagSafe was improved over its predecessor iPhone 11, which brought its maximum charging speed around 15W. It appears that the iPhone 13 series magnets could be made much larger as some users complained that the magnets were not able to hold attachments strongly and securely.
Moreover, it is also speculated that Apple may also use the larger coil size to include a reverse charging feature which will be able to charge accessories like AirPods on the iPhone’s back. Earlier, it was also reported that the series of iPhone 12 might come with the reverse charging feature based on FCC filings, but this feature never showed up.
iOS 15 of Apple is set to feature on the upcoming iPhone 13 series of Apple or on the iPhone 12 series, as per some leaks. The company is assumed to launch all these iPhones with new generation smartphone chipsets, higher refresh rates, better battery capacities, and a small notch by shifting the speaker grille to the screen’s top. However, every speculation will only become clear after the company announces the upcoming iPhone models, which may arrive in September 2021.
